To give a user a new password, you must perform the following steps in Manage users:

- Tick the box of the user who forgot their password or is allowed to create a password.
- Click on the Actions button that displays in the top right of the view.
- The options display in the view below. Click on Email new user if the user has just been added. Or click on Email new password if the user is an existing user.
- The user will receive an email with a link to reset their password.

The password policy is that you create a username and password in Manage users. You can then use the password to log in to all of the applications you are authorised to use. The password must meet a number of criteria: it must be at least 8 characters long and contain 1 capital letter, 1 number and 1 special character.
