When importing the payroll, the monthly report is updated with the employees’ contracts. To match these with the contract employees in the "Staff overview" and "Staff adjustments" screens, the following steps must be followed.

When an automatic connection with the source system is available, the most recent data from the source system could be imported in the application. For more information, see our article on Initial staff value.

- Go to budget process in the application and then to screen Initial setup payroll.
- In this screen, two tables appear. The first table shows the employees who have been added via the staffing screens ("Staff overview" and "Staff adjustments"). The second table shows the employees who have been imported from the payroll import. For more information about importing the payroll, see our article on Monthly actuals.
- In the second table, you match the employees with those in the first table. This creates a link between the monthly personnel report and the staffing screens. With this link, you can compare the budget against the actual figures.
- Check the monthly staff report to ensure that the actual status is correctly linked to the budget status.
- If everything is correctly linked, you will see the comments from "Staff overview" and "Staff adjustments" screens appear in the monthly reports, and you can provide an explanation of the differences when needed.
