Importing the initial staff value imports the current data from the source system so they can be used as the starting point for the new budget or staffing plan.
The initial value can be imported more than once. Data that have already been imported or changed are overwritten. Please note that importing employee data can take between 30 to 60 minutes.
Follow the steps below to refresh the Staff view based on staff actuals:

- Check the actuals in the Monthly staff report view. Contact the help desk if the actuals weren’t imported correctly.
- Link any newly imported salary components to a Anago salary component. The view below shows a few examples.
- Tick the Active box for all newly imported salary components.
- Link the salary component to a Anago salary component for tax credits and monthly gross/net allowances. Examples: Tax credit for parental leave, gross allowance, net allowance. NOTE: The salary components for tax credits for sustainable employability do not have to be linked unless you want them to be read in but not calculated. Click on the ‘i’ for more information.
- Select the corresponding Anago salary component from the list below:
- All of the salary components that have already been imported and linked are displayed in the Active salary components tab.
- If you would like to keep future employment contracts and vacancies for the new school/calendar year, click on the filter to enter a date in the Start date before field. Only employment contracts with a start date before the date you enter will be deactivated.
- If you would like to deactivate all of the employment contracts created in Anago, click on Deactivate Anago employment contracts and save the view.
- If you do not delete manually created employment contracts, vacancies that have already been filled will be displayed and calculated twice (once as a vacancy and once as an employment contract with the name of the respective employee). Click on the bin to delete the added vacancy.
- Click on Import initial staff value to import the initial value.
- If you wish, you can remove the end dates from employment contracts. As a result, temporary employment contracts will not expire. For example, you can enter the date 30-07-2023 so the annual contracts for the school year will not expire. Then, click on Remove end dates. This step is optional and can be skipped.
- Save the view.
